Edward Blumstein, Esquire, is a practicing attorney and a recognized practitioner and advocate of alternate dispute resolution (ADR).  He has given mediation training to various groups and individuals.  He is an adjunct professor of law at Temple University School of Law where he teaches a clinical program in custody mediation – the nation’s first such program.

He has served as president of the Family Mediation Association of Delaware Valley and as an officer and member of local and national committees and boards of the American, Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia Bar Associations.  He has attained the status of Consultant under standards established by the international Academy of Family Mediators. He is one of a dozen lawyer/mediators state-wide who are designated to mediate disputes within and between law firms for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Lawyer Dispute Program.

Mr. Blumstein also applies the concepts and practices of ADR to other settings, often serving as a facilitator for meetings when conflict threatens the organization.
